Figuring This Out.

I’m no stranger to the blog world. I’ve held three different blogs in my life. Some were personal, and one was political commentary. I learned the most on my third blog, the Viewprint. The name, a play on words, of a society moving from newspapers to blogs and social media as the main source of information.

I have since graduated from college, and I have a lot less time on my hands. I work for a start up company, who expects the hours 9-6, some of my days require more of that time. Couple that with the fact that I live in Los Angeles, so commuting time easily adds an additional hour to my day. While I usually get stuck in my daily rut, I remembered that I was a talented writer, and part of my very successful life felt unfulfilled, because I’m not doing what I know how to do best.

While I have an affinity towards short story and screenwriting, blogging best reflects where I am in my life. As a Black millennial woman in my early twenties, some would say, I’m doing it, but I am just getting started.

This blog is as much about giving information, as it is about discovering my worth. I’ve often removed myself from the conversation, thinking of all the reasons I am not qualified. I’ve learned that this desire in me to tell stories and to empower others meant I would have to redirect those thoughts from weight to fuel. I’m writing this blog and creating my podcast (in production) because I have something to say.

Follow me on my journey as I give professional advice, tips in beauty and fashion, talk about some daily life experiences such as romance, relationships, insecurities, and family life. Let’s empower ourselves and discover our worth by being honest with ourselves.
